How to Prepare Your Vehicle for a Detailing Appointment

A short checklist that saves time and improves the result.

A few minutes of preparation makes a measurable difference to both the result and the cost, because time spent moving your belongings is time not spent cleaning.

It also avoids the most common source of appointment problems: a parking spot that turns out not to work.

Before the appointment

  • Remove personal items from the cabin, trunk, and door pockets
  • Take out child seats — and plan to reinstall them yourself afterward
  • Take out any valuables and check the glovebox and console
  • Note any specific concerns — a stain, a scratch, a smell — so they can be assessed
  • Confirm the vehicle will be where you said it will be

About the location

  • Make sure there is room to open all doors and walk around the vehicle
  • Check ceiling height if the car is in a structure
  • Confirm your building or property manager permits the work in that space
  • Let us know if the surface is steeply sloped or if access is unusual

Frequently asked questions

Should I wash the car first?

No, please do not. Washing is part of the service and we would rather see the vehicle in its actual condition.

What if it rains on the day?

Interior work proceeds normally. Exterior and coating work may need rescheduling, and we will contact you in advance.
