Removal and assessment
The deposit is soaked and softened, then lifted with a clean towel in one direction. Dried droppings contain grit, so wiping without soaking first drags that grit across the paint.
Afterward we check the area under light. If there is etching, light polishing usually restores it. Deep etching may need a correction stage.
Reducing repeat damage
Protection is the practical fix. On a waxed, sealed, or coated car the acid works on the protective layer first, which buys time. Keeping a quick-detail spray and clean microfiber in the trunk so you can lift fresh deposits the same day helps more than anything else.
