Full Interior and Exterior Detail

The complete package — deep interior work plus a decontamination wash and protection for the paint.

A full detail combines the interior and exterior services into one appointment and resets a vehicle that has not had serious attention in a while. It is the service most people want before selling a car, after a lease return notice, at the end of a rainy stretch, or simply once or twice a year as a baseline.

Because it is comprehensive, it is also the easiest package to plan around: one visit, one block of time, and the car leaves the appointment clean in the places people usually skip — door jambs, seat rails, wheel faces, and the glass edges that show every streak.

Interior portion

  • Full removal of loose debris, floor mats out, seats moved through their travel to reach hidden areas
  • Vacuuming of carpet, upholstery, trunk, and seat channels
  • Hot water extraction or steam on fabric where soiling calls for it
  • Leather cleaned and conditioned with a pH-appropriate product
  • Dash, console, vents, door cards, and switchgear cleaned and left with a natural matte finish
  • Interior glass cleaned last so it stays clean

Exterior portion

  • Pre-rinse and foam to lift road film before anything touches the paint
  • Two-bucket hand wash with clean media
  • Wheels, barrels where accessible, tires, and wheel wells
  • Chemical decontamination and clay treatment when the paint feels rough
  • Bug, sap, and bird-dropping spot treatment
  • Sealant or wax applied for protection, plus tire dressing and exterior glass

Who books it

Daily drivers that live outdoors in the Sunset or Richmond tend to need the decontamination steps most, because damp air keeps fine grit and road film bonded to the surface. Garaged cars in Nob Hill or Russian Hill usually need less exterior correction and more interior attention.

If the paint has visible swirls or dull patches, a full detail is the right baseline but the finish work belongs to paint correction. We will tell you which one your car actually needs rather than upselling by default.

Frequently asked questions

How long should I set aside?

Plan on 3 to 5 hours for most sedans and small SUVs, longer for large three-row vehicles or interiors with heavy pet hair or staining.

Do I need to be there the whole time?

No. We only need access at the start and finish. Many customers hand over keys, head to work, and come back to a finished car.

Is paint correction included?

No. A full detail includes decontamination and protection, not machine correction of defects. Correction is quoted separately once the paint is inspected.
