Tesla and EV Detailing
EV-aware work: soft paint, glass roofs, big screens, and synthetic interiors.
Electric vehicles are everywhere in the Bay Area, and they bring a specific set of detailing considerations. Tesla paint in particular is known for being on the soft side, which means it marks easily and shows swirls from careless washing sooner than most.
The large glass roofs found on many EVs are another difference: they collect water spots and fallout across a huge visible area, and they are the first thing you notice from inside the car.

EV-specific attention
- Soft paint washed with maximum-lubricity methods and minimal contact pressure
- Glass roof decontaminated and polished where mineral spotting has set in
- Large center screens cleaned with ammonia-free product and dedicated media
- Vegan leather and synthetic seats cleaned with pH-appropriate products, not leather conditioner
- Frunk and under-floor storage areas cleaned out
- Charge port area and door seals wiped and kept clear of grit
Charging and appointment logistics
We do not need the car powered on for most of the work, and we work around home chargers without disturbing the setup. If the car is at a public charger, that is usually not a suitable location for the appointment — a home garage, driveway, or workplace spot is better.
Because many EVs here are garage-kept in newer buildings, they are good candidates for ceramic coating, which cures well in a controlled indoor space.
Frequently asked questions
Is pressure washing safe around an EV?
Yes, with normal care. We keep pressure moderate and avoid directing spray into charge ports and seals.
Can you correct soft Tesla paint?
Yes, and it typically responds quickly. The greater challenge is finishing without haze, which is why we refine after cutting.
